The Venice Film Festival premiere and photocall of ‘El Jockey’ (Kill The Jockey) was attended by the lead actress Úrsula Corberó who made two striking statements.
Premiere
Úrsula showcased a fearless approach to fashion stepping out in a Bottega Veneta Fall 2024 red dress that was undoubtedly one of the most unique looks of the festival so far.
The dress, with its two-tone red fringed details cascading from the thighs down, was imbued with what I love to see at these festivals: drama. The dynamic movement of the fringe brought the dress to life, but I love how Úrsula wore it with confidence and poise.
Photocall
However, my feelings are mixed when it comes to her Prada photocall look earlier in the day.
The ensemble was certainly eye-catching. On one hand, I appreciate how unique this look is—Prada has a way of turning simplicity into something extraordinary. But I’m not entirely sold on the faux fur trim or the bows.
Granted, without either element this would be a simple plain sheath dress, but the retro inspiration – elevated by the ’20s inspired hair and the top handle Prada bag – is kinda selling this to me.
