Winona Ryder Wore Chanel Haute Couture To The ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Winona Ryder graced the red carpet alongside her co-stars for the ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Venice Film Festival premiere, marking the official opening of this year’s event. Throughout this press tour, Winona has shown a commendable commitment to supporting lesser-known designers, but for this significant occasion, she turned to the house of Chanel.

Winona’s choice of a custom Chanel Haute Couture ensemble—featuring a tailored jacket, vest, and a black silk tulle skirt—may not be dripping in the gothic aesthetic we often associate with her, but it more than compensates with its undeniable charm. And charm, as we know, is something Winona has in abundance.

Her look was a refreshing departure from her usual style, proving that she can effortlessly navigate between different fashion sensibilities while still staying true to herself.

What makes this ensemble particularly noteworthy is the thoughtful alteration from its original design. The Chanel Spring 2007 Haute Couture runway version showcased a white jacket and vest, but Winona’s team wisely opted for black.

This choice not only aligns more closely with Winona’s style but also adds a layer of subtlety to her look. It’s a perfect balance—while the ensemble could have been striking in white, it might not have captured Winona’s essence quite as effectively.

As for the footwear, while the skirt’s length leaves us guessing, I wouldn’t be surprised if Winona chose Chanel’s classic two-tone pumps to complete her look.
