Ana de Armas made her return to the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival for the ‘Eden’ premiere, but her look left a lot to be desired.
The Cuban actress wore a custom Louis Vuitton blush bodysuit paired with an embroidered skirt, and to put it bluntly—it was a disaster.
For those of us who spent our after-school hours in ballet class, there’s an instant sense of nostalgia. The look screams “ballet recital,” but unfortunately, this isn’t a stage performance—it’s a red carpet event. And for everyone else, I can only imagine their confusion, wondering what’s happening at Louis Vuitton HQ to greenlight this.
The issue here isn’t just the ballet aesthetic; it’s the overall construction of the outfit. The bodysuit and high-low skirt feel disjointed, and there’s a lack of elegance that we’ve come to expect from Ana. I tried to think of how it could’ve been saved—a silver metallic waistband to break the ballet vibe, perhaps a full-length skirt instead of this awkward cut—but honestly, these ideas feel like futile attempts to fix something fundamentally flawed.
The Louis Vuitton jewelry—a Flight white gold, diamond, and ruby necklace, a Le Mythe diamond bracelet—added a touch of luxury, but they couldn’t redeem the outfit. In fact, the accessories felt mismatched with the casual, almost costume-like vibe of the ensemble.
Ultimately, this look is unsalvageable. Let’s chalk it up as a misstep and hope for better choices at her next outing. Ana de Armas is a stunning talented actress, but this outfit didn’t do her any favours.
