At the 18th Annual American Institute for Stuttering Gala in New York, host Emily Blunt chose to celebrate her British roots by wearing a two-piece floral ensemble from the Erdem Fall 2024 collection. While the look stayed true to Erdem’s signature romanticism, Emily made it her own with a thoughtful twist.
It’s easy to get hung up on the fact that the lines on her skirt didn’t match the runway version exactly, but I applaud Emily’s vision. Personally, I would have made the same choice to shift the skirt, eliminating the distracting central red stripe we saw on the runway. This subtle adjustment brought more balance and elegance to the look.
There are times when runway styling is worth copying outright, but this wasn’t one of them. Emily’s version felt more polished and sophisticated, without the extra noise of that bold stripe.
The look was completed with striking red Jimmy Choo Azia sandals, which tied in perfectly with the floral hues, and Anabela Chan earrings featuring a stunning array of fuchsia and pink sapphires.
Do you agree that Emily’s styling choices elevated this look?
