Becky Armstrong embraces Chanel at the Opening Season Ballet Gala

Rebecca Patricia Armstrong, better known as Becky, first caught my eye as a “Balenciaga girl”—effortlessly edgy, bold, and unapologetic. However, this year at the Cannes Film Festival, Becky shifted gears with a glamorous Eman Al Ajlan gown, showcasing her versatility.

Fast forward to the Chanel Spring 2025 show and the Opening Season Ballet Gala, and it seems Becky’s allegiance has found a new home: Chanel.

Becky graced the Ballet Gala in a striking Chanel black strapless mini dress with a sculpted silhouette, a piece originally worn by Karen Elson on the Pre-Fall 2024 runway in her hometown of Manchester. The dress’ standout feature—a black, white, and crystalized version of the Union Jack—paying homage to the country in which it was presented.

The dress, paired with simple black pumps, a pearl-accented ear cuff, and a Chanel-embellished clutch, exuded youthful charm while remaining elegant and event-appropriate. Becky successfully channeled her fun and sophisticated sides with this look, effortlessly embodying Chanel’s classic style with a modern spirit.

In an Instagram post, Becky shared her excitement: “The Opening Season Ballet Gala; absolutely magical✨ honoured to be able to attend the Ballet🩰… ending the night with a lovely dinner at the Palais Garnier; Merci Chanel🫶🏻.” Becky’s genuine love for the experience shone through, and her partnership with Chanel seems to align beautifully with her evolving fashion journey.

From edgy Balenciaga to glam Eman Al Ajlan, and now sophisticated Chanel, Becky’s style evolution keeps us intrigued—and it seems that, for now, she’s wholeheartedly embracing Chanel’s refined elegance.
