As expected at an event like the 2024 Governors Awards, most of the gentlemen adhered to the classic black tie dress code. But Jeremy Strong, as we’ve come to learn during awards season, and the Met Gala, isn’t one to follow “the rules.”
Before we talk about the suit, we must address the haircut. From what I’ve gathered, this new look is tied to his role as Jon Landau, Bruce Springsteen’s manager, in the upcoming film ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’. It’s always fascinating to see how an actor transforms for a role, but this particular haircut is a choice, to say the least.
Now, onto the suit. The mint green hue is refreshing and unexpected, the tailoring is impeccable, and the styling feels thoughtfully understated, especially with shoes that blend seamlessly into the black carpet. From a technical perspective, this suit is a win.
However, something feels off. Jeremy isn’t quite selling the look, and in certain photos, the mint green washes him out entirely. While I applaud the attempt to break free from the classic black tie mold, a touch more charisma might have saved this look from falling flat.
