Ryan Destiny Wore Coperni To The The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen 2024 Issue

Ryan Destiny graced The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen 2024 event on Wednesday at Holloway House in West Hollywood, California. With her upcoming role in ‘The Fire Inside,’ a Claressa Shields biopic, Ryan is steadily carving out her space on the red carpet.

While she’s been delivering standout looks this week at the Governors Awards and Elle Women in Hollywood event, this Coperni Fall 2024 ensemble left me with a bit of a sartorial whiplash.

Let’s start with what works: the silver sequined skirt. Its asymmetric cut and knot detailing are modern, edgy, and undeniably eye-catching. But then comes the white satin shirt with yellow sleeves with an extra-long tie, and that’s where things get murky. The shirt may works on the runway, but in reality, I want to take scissors to those ties.

I feel like the matching silver sequined top would have been a better choice for a more cohesive look.

The silver mesh pumps didn’t do much to save this look either.

Ryan Destiny has proven her red carpet prowess this week, so let’s chalk this up to an experimental misstep. She’s still undoubtedly one to watch, and with her Fire Inside promo tour on the horizon, I’m confident there are more hits in her future.
