Anthony Vaccarello brought Saint Laurent’s signature elegance to the 2024 Governors Awards, dressing four celebrities in looks that celebrated individual style while staying true to Saint Laurent’s DNA.
Mini Marvel or Missed Opportunity?
Zoe Saldana was a vision in green, wearing a ruched Saint Laurent mini dress accented with a draped detail that wrapped around her body. While undeniably chic, I can’t be the only one wishing this had been a floor-length gown. A longer silhouette would have amplified the drama and elegance. Sheer tights and Saint Laurent Carole sandals tied the look together, but the potential for something more grandiose was hard to ignore.

Fashion Flashback
Sharon Stone’s Saint Laurent Spring 2022 v-neck sportswear dress might be giving you a sense of déjà vu, recalling Hailey Bieber’s 2021 LACMA Art+Film Gala outing. Hailey was able to combat the length by folding the waist, but Sharon’s look didn’t have that same attention to detail. As the fabric is quite thick instead of puddling on the floor, the dress is forced to sit off her shoulders much like the silver dragonfly brooch.

Redefining, While Staying In His Own Lane
Even without the classic button up shirt, and bow tie, Nicholas Hoult was still able to maintain his usual elegance in this Saint Laurent suit styled with an ivory silk satin t-shirt. Saint Laurent Jean derbies completed his look along with a Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece.
Styled by Wendi and Nicole Ferreira.
One-Shoulder Wonder
Karla Sofía Gascón leaned into a silhouette that’s quickly becoming her signature with a sleek black and white one-shoulder gown. Paired with Saint Laurent Corrine sandals, the look was understated yet undeniably refined.
