Elle Fanning Wore SHUSHU/TONG To The Contenders Screening For ‘A Complete Unknown’

Elle Fanning joined Monica Barbaro at the Contenders screening for ‘A Complete Unknown’ on Saturday, held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

When it comes to the realm of “girlishness,” SHUSHU/TONG is hard to beat. The label has become a celebrity favourite for its unapologetically feminine style, and Elle’s latest look only reinforces that reputation.

There’s a retro-tinged feeling emanating from the mint green shirt and full black skirt that feels both nostalgic and fresh. The addition of the embellished headband amplifies that sentiment, leaning into personality-driven dressing with a sweet femininity infused with just a hint of rebellious spirit.

If your first thought upon seeing this look was that it might be Prada, you wouldn’t be alone. That was my initial reaction too, particularly considering Elle’s Prada moment at the LA premiere earlier in the week. However, SHUSHU/TONG brings a more youthful edge to its designs, which feels perfectly suited to Elle’s style repertoire.

Wolford tights and black bow-accented pumps completed the look, cementing the playful yet polished vibe she was going for.

Stylist: Samantha McMillen.
