Etro ushered in the holidays with a festive gathering at Cedars Estate in the Los Feliz hills on Wednesday, December 11, in partnership with Los Angeles Ballet and The Lotus Group. The party, held at the sprawling property owned by fashion designer Sue Wong, included performances by Lily Fife and Jake Ray of the ballet company clad in catsuit-inspired nylon jumpsuits created by the Italian house — and evoking its paisley tattoo motif — made in collaboration with Wolford. The pair danced an excerpt from Hans Van Manen’s Frank Bridge Variations, and their skin-hugging attire displayed the inventive iconography characterizing the Etro x Wolford collection comprising bodysuits, jumpsuits, dresses, tops, culottes, and tights in three design patterns.

In addition to the second-skin garments, Etro’s Beverly Hills boutique also created a pop-up shop inside the Estate that included men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, its Holiday capsule, and one-of pieces shipped from Italy. The Milan-based label’s U.S. C.E.O. Dan Rothmann welcomed guests including Joshua Uduma, Mike and Kaitlen Todd, Christopher and Daniel Westlund, Tina Taymoor, Isabel Lee, Diana Madison, Rolland Ryan, Ingrid Lion, Jacqueline Lion, AJ Verma, Scott Asmar, and Steve Yamin while Suzanne Saperstein took over the turntables as DJ SuziQ. Guests got a look around the Estate, based on the Venetian-style palazzo of the Duke of Alba in Spain, originally commissioned by writer and director Maurice Tourneur in the 1920s. Wong meticulously restored the property and house — featured in a number of films, including Sunset Boulevard and Easy Rider — in tribute to the musicians and actors who congregated underneath its frescoed and bas-relief ceilings over vastly different eras of Hollywood.
