Lily-Rose Depp graced the London premiere of ‘Nosferatu’ on Wednesday evening, and yes, the French actress reaffirmed her enduring allegiance to Chanel.
Her light grey taffeta skirt suit from the Fall 2020 Haute Couture collection exuded an old-world charm. Embellished with pearls, beads, and resin stones at the neckline, the look captured a sense of understated opulence.
If you’re anything like me, you might be getting vintage vibes from this ensemble. That’s likely because Lily-Rose has been leaning heavily into Chanel’s archival aesthetic lately, and this feels like an extension of that trend. The subtle sophistication of the suit felt very “on-brand” for her, but at the same time, left me longing for a slightly fresher take.
As expected, her accessories were quintessentially Chanel, with black shoes grounding the look, the Chanel High Jewelry Sapphire Stripes earrings and Motif Russe ring were an exquisite complement to the accents on her jacket, tying the outfit together in a polished, cohesive way.
This was beautiful, but predictable—an adjective that should rarely apply to someone with her sartorial potential.
