Ariana Grande Wore Hubert de Givenchy Haute Couture To The 2025 Golden Globe Awards

Ariana Grande joined her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo on the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, where she is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture.

As we’ve seen recently, Ariana has a clear penchant for vintage-inspired or actual vintage looks. On this occasion, she wore a Hubert de Givenchy Haute Couture gown from the Spring/Summer 1996 collection, crafted in pale yellow silk with a hand-beaded bodice. Unsurprisingly, the piece hails from Audrey Hepburn’s era, further fuelling comparisons between the two icons.

While the gown has never been worn before and holds an enchanting history, my initial thought was that her team could have worked more on the bodice’s fit. Based on the original sketch, the bodice was designed to narrow before flaring out from the empire waist, but here it feels slightly less tailored than it should.

On a brighter note, Ariana’s styling was a pitch-perfect nod to the era. White opera gloves, custom-dyed satin Stuart Weitzman Power pumps, and diamond jewels completed the look with timeless grace.

For vintage enthusiasts, the dress still bore its original mode déposée seal before Ariana acquired it from Rita Watnick at LILY et Cie. It previously belonged to the wife of a prominent old-school studio head, adding another layer of Hollywood history to this already memorable moment.

While the fit could have been refined, Ariana’s homage to classic elegance deserves appreciation.
