Zoe Saldana joined her Emilia Perez co-star Selena Gomez at the Palm Springs International Film Awards on Friday night, where they received the Vanguard Award for their Netflix film.
Zoe has long been a fan of Victoria Beckham’s designs, but this Spring 2025 dress is, unfortunately, my least favorite look from their union. The material and drapery feel lackluster and underwhelming, and not even the electric blue sequins could save this for me.
I had high hopes for Zoe this awards season, especially after her stellar press tour. I’m really hoping the only way is up after this. It’s such a big shame because both colours—the deep burgundy and electric blue—are stunning on her individually. They just don’t work together in this particular design.
This feels like a rare misstep, but I’m holding onto hope that she’ll bounce back with a stronger look at her next outing. This awards season has plenty more opportunities, so for now, I’ll chalk this up to a moment of experimentation that didn’t quite land. What do you think?
