Caitriona Balfe joined nominated actresses Saoirse Ronan and Nicola Coughlan on the red carpet at the 2025 Irish Film and Television Academy Awards, which took place on Valentine’s Day in Dublin.
While her peers served up full-glam moments, the Outlander star didn’t quite get the same memo—and I’m totally okay with it.
Marching to the beat of her own stylish drum, Caitriona wore a Loewe Spring 2025 extended-sleeve white and black jacket, paired with slim-fit trousers, black Loewe Toy pumps, and a black Flamenco bag. It’s giving chic, sharp, and very much fashion editor at a Paris Fashion Week vibes.
Now, I can already hear some of you saying, “Is this an IFTA look, or is she on her way to a power brunch?” And sure, it’s a less traditional awards ceremony look. But honestly, I love it. She wasn’t nominated, and she clearly didn’t want to overshadow those who were. Instead, she served effortless style with a capital E.
Plus, having seen some videos of her on this red carpet, I can confidently say that the photos aren’t doing this look justice. The jacket had a beautiful movement to it, and her whole demeanour screamed cool confidence.
So, minimal effort? I’d say it’s more “intentional minimalism” with a side of chic.
