Demi Moore Wore Schiaparelli Haute Couture To The 2025 Critics’ Choice Awards

Demi Moore is in full icon mode this awards season. Not only is she racking up trophies—including Best Actress for The Substance—but she’s also securing Best Dressed wins left and right. And honestly? She’s been on this roll since her Feud: Bette and Joan press tour at the start of last year.

At the 2025 Critics’ Choice Awards, Demi once again delivered a look that stopped me in my tracks. Wearing a Schiaparelli Fall 2024 Haute Couture navy blue duchesse satin bustier dress, she proved that drama and elegance can coexist. The exaggerated hipline—crafted from layers of hand-cut ribbons that cascade down her body—adds architectural interest while revealing glimpses of skin. And the neckline? It’s inspired by a vintage shoe, adorned with black rhinestones and sequins for extra impact.

But what really gets me is the lace-up detail at the back. It feels like a subtle (but genius) nod to her character Elisabeth Sparkle in The Substance. If you’ve seen the film, you know the reference. Plus, that sculpted hipline creates the illusion of an impossibly tiny waist—perhaps a cheeky nod to the film’s theme of unattainable beauty standards.

Do I miss the black embroidered sheer mesh gloves from the runway? Yes. But did she need them? Absolutely not. Demi is glowing, and this look is already a major moment without them.

I’m already bracing myself for her Oscar gown.  No pressure, Brad Goreski.
