While we were busy keeping up with the NAACP Image Awards, the Film Independent Spirit Awards, and the SAG Awards, the Berlin Film Festival wrapped up its closing ceremony with a jaw-dropping moment courtesy of Fan Bingbing.
The Chinese actress, serving as a jury member at the event, stepped onto the red carpet in a Stéphane Rolland Spring 2025 Haute Couture white jersey dress that was anything but predictable. The gown featured a sculptural Masai breastplate crafted from white silicone fringe, creating a striking plunging neckline that was as daring as it was elegant.

Fan Bingbing is known for delivering high-octane glamour, but this look took her signature style into sultrier, more unexpected territory—and I’m completely here for it. The deep neckline added an element of drama we don’t often see from her, proving once again that she’s never one to play it safe.

If you’re someone who winces at the sight of a beautiful gown ruined by an exposed zipper, rest assured, this dress had none of that nonsense. Instead, the back featured even more cascading fringe details, along with a touch of crystal embellishment for that extra bit of sparkle.
A sleek low ponytail and diamond earrings were the perfect finishing touches, keeping the spotlight on the gown’s avant-garde construction. This was a masterclass in high-fashion risk-taking—and Fan Bingbing, as always, delivered.
