Naomi Watts attended the 2025 Producers Guild Awards at Fairmont Century Plaza on Saturday in Los Angeles, giving the ever-growing menswear trend a polished spin on the red carpet.
Of course, women wearing menswear is nothing new—icons from Marlene Dietrich to Katharine Hepburn proved long ago that a perfectly tailored suit can be just as striking as any gown. But lately, the trend has been having a major resurgence on the red carpet, and I’d argue that Saint Laurent’s Spring 2025 collection was the catalyst. Add to that the consistent presence of celebrities in Celine suits, and it’s clear that the modern power suit is the moment.
Naomi has the style, poise, and attitude to sell this Celine Françoise pinstripe wool flannel suit, which she wore with a double-breasted U-shaped waistcoat (a detail I wish we’d see more of) and a ribbon bow tie that added an extra touch of Parisian charm.
Celine’s Sharp pumps and the Celine Antoinette bag completed the look, along with a sleek, slicked-back hairstyle. It was effortlessly sophisticated, proving that when it comes to red carpet suiting, Naomi Watts is absolutely in her element.
