Rose Byrne has been quietly serving up some major fashion moments at the Berlinale International Film Festival, and for her fourth and final look, she saved something special.
Attending the award ceremony on Saturday—where she took home the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance in If I Had Legs, I’d Kick You—the actress wore a sleek black satin dress from Marina Moscone’s Fall 2024 collection.
At first glance, the design appears to be a strapless gown with a chic scarf detail, but the back tells a different story. A cape cascades effortlessly from her shoulders, adding an unexpected dose of drama. It’s minimalism with a twist, and I love that for her.

This had all the makings of her best look from the festival. The elegant structure of the dress? Check. The perfectly coiffed hair? Check. The stunning Nina Runsdorf earrings? Double check. And yet… we need to talk about the creases.
Satin is notoriously unforgiving, and this fabric didn’t quite hold up. While the overall effect remained polished, the visible creasing slightly detracted from what could have been her best look from this festival.
But honestly, when you’re walking away with one of the festival’s highest honours, a few wrinkles are hardly a dealbreaker. Rose still looked incredible, and this Marina Moscone moment was a worthy finale to her Berlinale fashion run.
