Rose Byrne poses at the "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You" photocall during the 75th Berlinale International Film Festival

Rose Byrne has been busy at the Berlin Film Festival, promoting not one but two films—If I Had Legs I’d Kick You and The Thing with Feathers. And unlike most attendees who stick to just two looks, Rose has gifted us three, proving she’s not here to play it safe. Whether she’s giving us polished nonchalance, Prada rebellion, or a full Chanel fantasy, let’s break down each of her festival looks.

If I Had Legs I’d Kick You Photocall

For the film’s photocall, Rose opted for a laid-back dusty rose Blazé Milano Resolute Berber shirt paired with Fox trousers. The half-tucked-in, half-left-out styling trick is meant to look effortless, but let’s be real—anyone who’s attempted this knows it takes precision. The look was an understated nod to quiet luxury, where the quality of the fabric does the talking. It’s a simple choice, but given the film’s quirky title, it was smart to keep things easy going here.

If I Had Legs I’d Kick You Premiere

Rose turned up the drama for the film’s premiere in a Prada Spring 2025 look—or at least a curated portion of it. Instead of fully committing to the runway’s metal harness skirt (which, let’s be honest, didn’t even work for Caitríona Balfe at the Critics’ Choice Awards), she opted for just the silver disc crop top, pairing it with a classic black pencil maxi skirt. This was undoubtedly the right move. The simplicity of the skirt balanced the edginess of the top, creating a more refined—though still modern—ensemble. If I had one tiny critique, it would be that the skirt should’ve been a tad shorter for better proportion. But overall, this was a win.

The Thing with Feathers Premiere

For her second premiere, Rose went full glamour in a feather and crystal-embellished silk dress from the Chanel Spring 2025 collection, complete with a matching cape. Given the film’s title, this could easily be dismissed as method dressing taken to extremes, but the look itself is undeniably beautiful. The contrasting bow detail adds a vintage touch, while the embellishments keep it modern. My only qualm? The cape needed hand holes, or she needed bring her hands forward. There’s something about a cape that feels unnecessarily restrictive when there’s nowhere to casually place your hands. But with Chanel Fine Jewelry completing the look, Rose fully committed to the drama, and I respect it.

Two films, three very different moods, and three solid fashion moments.
