While I’m personally still recovering from Matt Bomer’s week of elegance in blue and Ncuti Gatwa’s boundary-pushing menswear masterclass, there were other gents who took their rightful place in the red carpet spotlight this week. From classic tailoring to unexpected twists, let’s get into it.
MobLand Global Premiere
Pierce Brosnan and dunhill continue to be a match made in sartorial heaven. The Irish actor looked effortlessly suave and timelessly refined in a midnight blue cashmere Bourdon double-breasted sports coat, paired with a superfine cashmere roll-neck jumper. The whole look oozed quiet luxury, but my only gripe? The trousers were a touch too long, but when you add sophisticated accessories like a navy square neats printed tubular scarf and a midnight blue silk circular medallion pocket square, it’s enough to distract me.

Joe Locke was serving first day at school elegance in a grey Thom Browne suit with the signature striped tie. The unique fastening of the blazer gave the look an offbeat charm that I really appreciated—it’s these subtle, unexpected details that sets Thom Browne tailoring apart.

I know we aren’t necessarily a white socks and loafer-loving community, but I have to admit the combo worked surprisingly well on Cooper Koch, who wore a Valentino Resort 2025 suit. Maybe it’s the Alessandro Michele effect, as I expect his designs to have a quirk, especially considering the traditional tailoring here. Or, I’m just relieved that the styling of this suit could have been a whole lot worse.

Warfare LA Premiere
Alongside Charles Melton (in a custom Coach tuxedo styled with Coach Dalton boots) and Will Poulter (in Dior Men), it was clear that Kit Connor, (dressed in Prada), didn’t get the black shirt memo.

Instead, he should have aligned with Finn Bennett, who embraced classic black-and-white elegance in McQueen’s Resort 2025 suit, complete with a sleek silver chain detail on his jacket.

The Last of Us LA Premiere
Bouclé often comes with stuffy connotations, but Danny Ramirez’s AMIRI Fall 2025 shimmer bouclé suit was anything but. It felt fresh, dynamic, and perfectly suited for someone who wants to push the envelope without going overboard. The added shimmer gave it an almost liquid-like quality under the lights, proving that texture can be just as impactful as colour.
