Alicia Vikander was spotted outside NBC Studios on Tuesday in New York City, kicking off the press junket for her new film The Assessment, in which she stars alongside Elizabeth Olsen. With the film set for release on March 21, the actress wasted no time getting into promo mode—and, at first glance, it seemed like she was recycling her dress from last week’s Louis Vuitton Fall 2025 show.
This is not a repeat. While the red, white, and navy colour scheme is strikingly similar, this Self-Portrait knitted dress stands apart thanks to its playful details: pocket accents, the bow, and the fluted hemline.
The styling? Practically impeccable. Chic sunglasses, tights, and black Manolo Blahnik Campari patent-leather pumps gave the ensemble a sophisticated, polished feel. But then we get to the bag—and that’s where I pause.
Alicia carried the Spring 2025 Louis Vuitton Biker PM bag, the same one that celebrities carried to the show last week. Designed as a tribute to the classic biker jacket, it’s undoubtedly a statement piece, but it doesn’t work here. I get that it’s there purely for the photo op, but there are sleeker Louis Vuitton options that would have been a better fit for this business-chic-meets-playful look.
Overall, this was a strong start to Alicia’s press tour.
