Maggie Gyllenhaal was back on the spotlight following awards season, for the premiere of ‘Crimes Of The Future’ during the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on Monday (May 23) in France.

Not every Cannes gown has to have bells and whistles, so I have no issue with the subtlety of this Lanvin design, as it’s very much in keeping with her current style.
I particularly love the drapery around the midsection, even though there needed to be some grooming.
But what’s missing in my opinion is some statement jewellery.
We’ve seen some stunning pieces from the event sponsors Chopard, as well as Bvlgari and Pomellato.
That is the only thing this look was desperately crying out for.
You can do this during award season, but you’ve gotta dial it up for Cannes. No?
