Is it any surprise that Jennifer Lopez, the inventor of Google Images, has been eating up everyone in her path with her press tour looks in New York City? Not really, no, but that doesn’t mean we do not absolutely have to talk about them.
Lopez has been out and about promoting her new Netflix documentary, Halftime, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 8. Based on her outfits in the past 24 hours, she is also hard at work bringing back some 2000’s fashion moments, including giant belts, platform heels, and go-go dancer hair.
First up for discussion, Lopez’s after-party look following the Halftime premiere. Our girl changed out of that stunning black red carpet dress into something a little more comfortable—an all white ensemble of ultra wide-leg jeans, a ribbed tee, and an oversized blazer, elevated with silver and sparkly platform shoes, naturally.
Next, celebrity stylist Mariel Haenn uploaded a carousel of photos to her Instagram showing J.Lo in a short babydoll dress with a vintage-inspired orange floral pattern that just screams “Twiggy” and matching coat. Lopez paired the mod-inspired Coach outfit with playful nails, a half-pony, a Ferragamo bag, and platform Mary-Janes. Side note, remembering that Anne Hathaway also rocked playful ’60s styling at the Cannes Film Festival this year, do we smell a trend on the horizon? Do we need to dust off the bump-its? Moving on.
