Khloé Kardashian surprised fans by revealing that her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson previously proposed to her, and she turned him down.
In a new episode of The Kardashians, the 38-year-old spoke about Tristan’s desire to take their romance to the next level, despite his turbulent history of cheating on her. Khloé first found out the athlete had cheated on her just days before giving birth to daughter True in 2018, in December 2021, he cheated on her again and fathered a son Theo with personal trainer Maralee Nichols. The moment Khloé finds out is featured in the first episode of season two of their show, which is so distressing.
And in new scenes from the reality series, Khloé reflected on her December 2020 proposal from Tristan, telling sister Kim Kardashian that she didn’t want to give him “false hope” as she essentially wanted to be “proud” to say she was engaged. We hear you, Khloe!
Detailing her reason for rejecting him, the mother-of-two said: “What I said is that I need to make sure this is a totally different relationship because I want to be proud to say I’m engaged to anyone. And that’s why I said, ‘You know, I’m not comfortable accepting this right now because I’m not excited to tell my family.'”
Khloe added: “I’m not ever going to accept something and give someone false hope—and I said that to him.”
It was also revealed that Khloe didn’t even tell her family about the proposal, as Kim mentioned she only found out about it four months later during a conversation with Tristan.
“I asked him months later, the night after I thought it happened, and he’s like, ‘Oh, I did it months ago. She didn’t tell you guys?'”
During the first episode of The Kardashian‘s S2, Khloe told Kim off-camera that her and Tristan’s surrogate was likely already pregnant when finding out about his infidelity.
