Cate Blanchett was honoured with the Outstanding Performer of the Year Award during the 2023 Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Friday (February 10) in California.
The Australian actress has made a name for herself as the head of the “it’s chic to repeat” movement, but on this occasion she selected an archive one-sleeve embellished jersey dress from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2017 collection.
If you’re anything like me, you were having a case of déjà vu, believing that this was a rerun.
The familiarity comes from the fact that Cate wore a Louis Vuitton dress from the same collection back in January 2017 for ‘The Present’ Opening Night and After Party.
The only difference between the two dresses comes down to the fabrics. I wasn’t keen on the first one mostly because of the colour. This dress is far superior in my opinion.
On both occasions Cate opted to wear boots, but I feel that this over-the-knee pair worked perfectly for the sassier nature of this outing.
