There are times when some celebrities have a better second night on the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival, and that was most definitely the case for Gong Li.
After bringing winter fashion to a summer festival for the opening ceremony, the actress was still in wintery mode wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2023 look to the ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ premiere this evening, but the outcome wasn’t nearly as heavy.
Between the soft shade of red, and the cape that drapes around her shoulders, this look not only made a statement – that Thursday night is the night for wearing red on the red carpet – but it also reminded me why I fell in love with her style to begin with.
I’ve missed this classic style and elegance from Gong on the red carpet, and I love how she made this look her own, as she styled her outfit to look more like a jumpsuit.
