I love seeing the models at Cannes as they ultimately bring the glamour to the festival, but there is often a copy from the previous years, and paste into this one feel about some of their looks, but that wasn’t the case for Rawdah Mohamed.
The Somali model attended ‘La Passion De Dodin Bouffant’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening wearing a Robert Wun Spring 2023 Haute Couture pleated gown.
How many times have we said, “I wish she wore the runway headpiece?”
And on this rare occasion the model did, and it added to the dramatic, haunting nature of the look which sees a departure of what we are used to from the designer – pleats aside.
Intense colours have been the signature of Robert Wun’s work, but his latest collection we see conceptual twists in which surreal elements such as the scorch fabric has been added to the equation, resulting in a completely unique and extravagant concept without falling into the comical.
