There are two things I love about these photos from Kate Hudson and Elle Evans’ night out in London. One: Hudson’s slinky red dress, which is divine and I need in my closet immediately. Two: That even though Evans’ current husband is Hudson’s former fiancé (and the father of her son) Matt Bellamy, they are apparently besties. Look, they’re even holding hands!

Hudson and Evans’ evening, per People, included a gala performance of Cabaret in the West End, followed by an after party at the Chiltern Firehouse restaurant. In the photos Hudson, wearing a cherry red silk slip dress, leads a laughing Evans by the hand as they enter the restaurant. In contrast to Hudson’s scarlet, Evans wore a pair of textured snakeskin-patterned trousers and a simple black top. And both women kept their straight blonde hair loose and easy-breezy.
