As it turns out, this is Angelina Jolie attending the photocall for her new film ‘Maria’ during the Venice Film Festival, as the previous look I posted was from her attending another event during the festival.
What both looks have in common is the label, as they are both from Saint Laurent.
Naturally, this raises the question: Will Angelina continue her Saint Laurent run for the premiere tonight? After all, Sigourney Weaver has gone three for three in Chanel, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that Angelina might do the same with Saint Laurent.
I’m not so sure, as I’m still confident that Angelina will use this high-profile event to promote her own fashion line, Atelier Jolie.
To be honest, I’m surprised she hasn’t debuted Atelier Jolie at the festival yet, especially given the perfect platform that Venice offers. The festival is known for its glamour and high fashion, making it an ideal venue for a big reveal. The fact that she hasn’t worn her own label thus far only makes me more convinced that she’s saving the best for last. It seems highly likely that we’ll see a major Atelier Jolie moment this evening.
For today’s photocall, Angelina gave us classic Jolie in black. The dress was simple yet chic, featuring an open back that added just the right amount of drama to the otherwise understated design. It’s a look that epitomises Angelina’s signature style—elegant, minimalist, and always with a hint of edge. The vintage Cartier brooch she chose to pair with the dress was the perfect finishing touch, providing a bit of old Hollywood glamour to complement the modern lines of her gown.
The simplicity of the dress allowed her natural beauty and presence to take center stage, proving once again that sometimes, less really is more.
