Alongside her co-star Emma Laird, Felicity Jones graced the Venice Film Festival for the premiere and photocall of their new film, ‘The Brutalist’ on Sunday.

Premiere: Pretty In Pink

Felicity opted for a Prada strapless gown that left me somewhat conflicted. At first glance, the colour of the gown—a pretty pink hue that perfectly complemented her complexion—was undeniably captivating, managing to be both understated and bold, with Felicity herself presenting her usual grace and elegance.

However, I’m on the fence because I don’t know if I’m more enamoured by the wearer, the colour or the potential, because that top part of the bodice could have been so much better.

There was an overwhelming sense of “unfinished business” about the look—as if it had the potential to be truly breathtaking but fell slightly short in the execution. The gown could have been so much more with just a little more attention to detail in the bodice’s construction.

Yet, Felicity’s choice of Boucheron jewels did add a touch of timeless glamour to the look. The jewels were the perfect complement to her understated style, adding a dash of sparkle that didn’t overwhelm but rather enhanced her natural beauty.

Photocall: Holy Habit

For the photocall, Felicity took a decidedly different direction with a Dior Pre-Fall 2024 dress. The black halter dress, featuring a bib-style white collar, had me doing a double take as I couldn’t help but think of a modern-day holy habit when I saw it.

The bib and collar gave off a distinct ecclesiastical vibe, making me feel like I should be kneeling before her and making the sign of the cross.
