When Andrew Garfield took to the red carpet, I found myself wondering just how he managed to look even more handsome. The answer: his new hairstyle. The fresh cut, combined with a classic Ralph Lauren Collection suit, showcased a level of sophistication that felt both debonair and effortless, channelling old Hollywood elegance. The cummerbund played perfectly into the timeless charm of the ensemble, which I’m always a sucker for. Completing the look with an OMEGA timepiece, Andrew delivered a pitch-perfect red carpet moment that balanced modern flair with classic appeal.

British actor Harry Lawtey joined Lady Gaga on the red carpet, opting for a Saint Laurent suit paired with a skinny tie. This particular detail always takes me back to the rock and roll era of the early 2000s, bringing with it a nostalgic edge. The skinny tie, paired with a sleek, sharp flared silhouette, lent the ensemble a cool, slightly rebellious charm that felt fitting for the vibe of the film. Harry’s Saint Laurent choice felt effortless and suited the mood of the event—classic with just enough edge to keep it interesting.

Joshua Jackson’s look left me feeling a bit conflicted. As much as I love a velvet suit—enough that I’d applaud it during any season on the red carpet—this one missed the mark. The style, the colour, and even the overall styling of this Todd Snyder Fall 2024 suit felt as though they aged Joshua unnecessarily. It’s a surprising miss, especially considering Joshua recently won Best Dressed of the Week for his classic Emmys look. Despite his attempt to coordinate the suit with the step and repeat, the final result didn’t translate as hoped. Maybe my judgment is clouded, but I can’t shake the Hugh Hefner vibes here. This was a look that, on paper, should have worked, but it ultimately fell flat.
