The Torino Film Festival red carpet in Turin this weekend featured a host of celebrities, but their outfits seemed to belong to an entirely different event than Sharon Stone’s dazzling couture moment. Perhaps they attended the daytime segment, as Sharon’s cream Lanvin look could align with this more subdued style narrative.
Business with a Purpose
Sarah Jessica Parker took a surprisingly business-like approach for her two looks at the festival. However, the choice made sense, as she was there to support her husband, Matthew Broderick, who received the Stella della Mole award for his career.
Her first look was polished with a touch of sparkle. A cropped blazer and velvet skirt combo was elevated by her Alexander Wang bag and Dolce & Gabbana bow-accented pumps, both glistening with diamanté details.
The second look leaned into First Lady-inspired sophistication. A grey double-breasted suit was styled with a classic black Gucci Jackie 1961 bag and her signature Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps. It was understated yet impeccably chic.
Patience in Minimalism
Angelina Jolie opted for her signature understated elegance, wearing a black pencil skirt paired with a soft Falconeri cashmere sweater. It was minimal and refined, leaving me hopeful that our patience will pay off come awards season with something spectacular in the pipeline.
Winter Warmth in Style
Of all the looks, Emmanuelle Béart’s was the most relatable considering the season. The French actress exuded cosy winter elegance in a charcoal ensemble crafted from mixed wool, wool flannel, and cashmere from the Fall 2024 Michael Kors Collection. Her layered approach was both practical and chic, making it the standout for those embracing cooler weather.
While these looks lacked Sharon Stone’s high-octane drama, they delivered a grounded, daytime glamour fitting for a more subdued moment of the festival.
