Monica Bellucci Wore Dior To The 2024 Marrakech International Film Festival

Monica Bellucci attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Marrakech International Film Festival on Friday and later graced the Tribute to Sean Penn during day two of the event. As always, Monica delivered timeless elegance with her sartorial choices, but this time, she gave us just enough variation to keep things interesting.

Opening Ceremony

I know what you’re thinking: “Another black gown for Monica Bellucci.” And yes, she also has a penchant for these flattering, ruched designs. It’s practically her signature. But, Monica kind of switched things up with this Dior gown with the velvet cape. The cape not only added depth but also broke up the look with its contrasting black and white hues. All black, and this could have been just another predictable outing. Cartier jewels provided the perfect touch of glamour.

Following her red carpet appearance, Monica took part in a conversation about her latest film, the documentary ‘Maria Callas Monica Bellucci: An Encounter’ by Greek director Yannis Dimolitsas. The subdued elegance of her outfit complemented the evening’s introspective tone.

Tribute to Sean Penn

If you’ve been here long enough, you’ll know that her second favourite colour after black is red. She brought a fiery spirit to the Tribute to Sean Penn in an Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2024 jumpsuit. The intricate sequin embroidery glistens down the fitted bodice into the slightly flared pants, bringing movement to the structured silhouette.  And that matching pashmina? Perfection. It elevated the entire ensemble. An Elie Saab signature clutch tied the look together beautifully.

Monica may favour the classics, but on this occasion she did something different from her ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ press tour to keep us intrigued.
