Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino dressed one celebrity in Valentino ready-to-wear, and two celebrities in Valentino Haute Couture for the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 27).

As you know, no one stans Gabrielle Union more or harder than I do.

I am the founder, president, and CEO of her fashion fan club, but I struggled with this Valentino Spring 2022 Haute Couture chocolate embroidered dress.

It’s not a bad dress by any stretch of the imagination.

It’s just…dare I say?

Not enough.

I feel so bad saying this, but that’s only because Gabby has set the bar so high.

Was I expecting a repeat of her Valentino Haute Couture look from The Fashion Awards?

No.  Maybe.  Kinda.

Vanessa Hudgens Valentino @ The 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Vanessa Hudgens was having another seductive moment in an all black. This time in Valentino Pre-Fall 2022.

This choice of gown once again shines a light on how great her working relationship is with celebrity stylist Jason Bolden.

When it comes to fashion she was once known as the Coachella girl, now she’s cementing herself as a powerful player in this game under his guidance.

She had a perfect night.

There was sadly no red carpet moment for Rihanna, but she was captured attending the after parties.

The mum-to-be wore a custom Valentino Haute Couture black organza turtleneck gown with oversized bow in the back, voluminous remboursée sleeves with a tight button arrangement, paired with a long black sequinned embroidery skirt and a black crepe couture bandeau bra with jersey gloves, especially designed for her by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

I couldn’t find a sketch, but it looks like her outfit was inspired by this Valentino Fall 2022 runway look.
