To say the Grammys 2022 were good to Olivia Rodrigo would be an understatement. The star, who was nominated for seven awards, wowed attendees and viewers with her performance of “drivers license” and took home three coveted trophies for best new artist, best pop vocal album, and best pop solo performance. Her night almost went without a hitch. But, alas.
As is the tradition at the Grammys, Olivia posed with her three trophies backstage, and let’s just say juggling them all in her arms was probably a little bit more difficult than she had anticipated. While taking pictures in the winners’ photo room after the show had wrapped, Liv dropped one of her awards and, as expected, the tiny golden gramophone immediately snapped in two.
Olivia’s face while the situation unfolded is truly priceless, and honestly, we’re just gonna add this to the catalog of relatable moments from the 19-year-old singer.
If Olivia’s situation sounds familiar, that’s because it’s essentially the same exact thing that happened to Taylor Swift in 2010. Back then, 20-year-old Taylor struggled to hold four trophies and also ended up dropping—and breaking—one of the gramophones.
