Jasmine Trinca, Rebecca Hall, Vincent Lindon, Deepika Padukone and Noomi Rapace attended the Jury photocall during the 2022 Cannes Film Festival held at Palais des Festivals on Tuesday (May 17) in France.
I wasn’t really into Jasmine Trinca’s Prada look, mostly because a leather biker jacket at Cannes doesn’t really work for me. I need glamour.
Then we get to Rebecca Hall who continues to blow me away with her red carpet looks.
On this occasion the British director supported a British label wearing a look from the Burberry Fall 2022 collection.
I adore the colour, the printed turtleneck which pops against that lush shade of green, and the attitude.
She was feeling herself and long may this energy continue throughout this festival.
Before we get to all the custom Louis Vuitton we are expecting at this festival from Deepika Padukone, the Indian actress – like Rebecca Hall – represented fashion from her home country by wearing this Sabyasachi total look.
The styling really sells this look. Mostly that necklace and the turban.
Now that I’ve seen this, I’m hoping she will give us a traditional look this evening, but duty to her new ambassador will no doubt be take precedence, but let’s see.
I am expecting to see a lot of digging into the archives during this festival, as fashion sustainability was high on the agenda for last year’s festival (and Venice Film Festival), and I expect that to be repeated this year.
Noomi Rapace wore a Dior Spring 2019 Haute Couture look which was surprisingly dainty by her standards.
She has always presented looks with an edge, so while I’m appreciating this change of direction, I’m wondering if this is just for the festival, or her new style going forwards.
