Deepika Padukone graced the red carpet for the premiere of ‘Final Cut (Coupez!)’ which also served as the opening ceremony for the 2022 Cannes Film Festival which was held at Palais des Festivals on Tuesday (May 17) in France.
I was so excited to see that the actress – who is on the jury this year – went traditional for her first look wearing a saree which felt modern thanks to the sparkling fabrication, and her styling which included dramatic winged eyeliner.
Since representation from Indian was notably missed last year, this was a very much symbolic moment, and I think this was the perfect way for Bollywood to make a comeback at this event.
I have no more words for how beautiful she is.
She made her country proud.
