Michelle Williams attended the premiere of her new film ‘Showing Up’ during the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on Friday (May 27) in France.
We’ve all known Michelle as a friend/ambassador to Louis Vuitton, but on this occasion she wore a black and white Chanel Spring 2022 Haute Couture long dress with embroidered elements which aren’t picked up in this photo.
I know a lot of you haven’t been fans of Rihanna or Adriana Lima’s maternity style this year, especially the latter at this festival, so you’ll either be refreshed at this covered maternity look or feel that it’s not really flattering for Michelle.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t convinced by this look, as I don’t think it does anything for her.
Maternity red carpet style doesn’t need a belly baring dress, or a skin-tight dress.
Celebrities can go many ways. Stay on track like Blake Lively in Atelier Versace at Cannes or Jodie Turner Smith at the BAFTAs.
Or change your whole approach like Angelina Jolie in Max Azria Atelier for the 2008 ‘Kung Fu Panda’ Cannes premiere.
Despite the path chosen, the one thing they had in common is that each their look was flattering.
Chanel High Jewelry from the 1932 collection and dual colour Chanel flats completed her look.
