It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for, Ana De Armas promoting her highly anticipated film (promo tour for), ‘Blonde,’ which made its debut during the 2022 Venice Film Festival on Thursday (September 8) in Italy.
As we all know, ‘Blonde’ is a fictionalised take on the life of actress Marilyn Monroe, so this pink custom Louis Vuitton gown was clearly paying homage to Marilyn Monroe’s white dress worn in the 1955 film ‘The Seven Year Itch,’ while the pink hue seems to be paying homage to Marilyn’s 1953 film ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.’
You know I love a theme. But I have a feeling that some might be underwhelmed.
Yes, we have been spoiled over the last week by the likes of Jodie Turner-Smith, Tessa Thompson and Timothée Chalamet who are hard acts to follow, but you can’t beat a movie star moment, and this is it for me.
The Messika Firebird necklace and Kashmir bracelet (another ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ reference it seems) completed her classic look.
If there is one picture that sold this look to me, this was it.
