She has that scene where they kiss in season one and she says, “I’m not sorry.”

Yeah, exactly. Camille is a bit of free spirit and very open about her sexuality, which is something we established from the get-go.

Is a baby the only thing that could keep Emily and Gabriel apart, or do you think they could actually make this work?

Yeah, I think that’s not the only obstacle. I do feel like Gabriel, I’m sure, is feeling a little manipulated by both these women. There’s no question that they have these feelings for each other, but I’m not sure that means they’re jumping easily into a relationship with one another.

And also, I do feel like Emily has strong feelings for Alfie. I don’t think she ever intended to upend that relationship in the way that happened.

Poor Alfie, because based on those final moments, I feel like fans might revolt, Darren.

Poor Alfie, yes.

I doubt he’s going to go back to England, but you never know.

Look, I love Lucien [Laviscount], and I love the character of Alfie. Alfie has a job in Paris. And the show is also a show that’s very much about being an expatriate in Paris and working and having jobs. Emily’s not the reason that Alfie remained in Paris, and she’s not going to be the reason he continues to stay there.

Meanwhile, let’s talk about Mindy. Who should we be rooting for there in terms of her romantic prospects?

I really feel like both of these guys activate different sides of Mindy. Nicolas basically represents Mindy’s background and where she came from. Benoit is like her artistic soul and why she came to Paris.

This season also dives into workplace politics, especially with Madeline, Sylvie, Emily, Luc, and Julien. As heightened as their situations are, the power plays are all very common. What intrigued you about those stories?
