Kate Middleton

As usual, Kate Middleton looked pretty as a princess on her volunteer outing on January 26. The Princess of Wales wore a vibrant berry pink turtleneck and matching overcoat with practical, wide-legged black trousers to help prepare donation baskets at the Windsor Foodshare along with Prince William. Kate kept the jewelry to a minimum and wore her famously lustrous hair in loose waves.

The princess is known for her timeless, classic approach to style, but monochrome is one trend Kate has not been afraid to embrace (even if this look stops short of matching pink trousers). Kate has gone monochromatic in green for St. Patrick’s Day, braved the mud in head-to-toe camel, and worn burgundy on burgundy to meet with foreign dignitaries. Copying Kate’s style formula does require a large number of coats, shoes, and bags in a variety of colors but if you have the budget, it’s basically fool proof.

This particular iteration is a relatively casual look for Kate Middleton, appropriate for spending a few hours volunteering. William, meanwhile, was the opposite of monochromatic in his blue suit, Oxford shirt, and hunter green sweater.
