Dua Lipa Wore Celine To The ‘Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

I forgot that there is usually a midnight premiere during Cannes Film Festival.

While I was getting some much needed sleep, Dua Lipa made her Cannes debut at the ‘Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers)’ premiere, alongside her new beau French director Romain Gavras (who was dressed in Dior by Kim Jones).

Add her new floppy bangs into the mix, and it was a trio of debuts.

Actually, make that a quartet of debuts, because this is the first time the British singer has worn a Celine by Hedi Slimane dress.

Celine’s red carpet dresses tend to stick to a similar formula – sequinned and often in silver or champagne hues – but Hedi Slimane created a sexy, black asymmetrical number with peek-a-boo cut-outs and a dramatically high-leg slit which fit Dua’s style while breaking the custom Celine mould.

Are you here for this change of direction from Hedi Slimane?

I’m here for the designer bringing dark romanticism to an elegant silhouette.

Tiffany & Co. jewels including the Tiffany Edge drop earrings in platinum and yellow gold with diamonds, Tiffany Edge multi-row Bypass bracelet and Tiffany T1 ring completed her look.
