Chanel ambassador Margot Robbie was one of the many celebrities who dipped into the archives for her 2023 Met Gala look this evening.
The Australian actress wore a Chanel Spring 1993 Haute Couture black silk chiffon gown styled with Chanel Impression Florale earrings and Chanel Coco Crush rings.
If you’re looking at this gown and wondering, “why did she choose a gown with a clear plastic panel (which was accented with gold metal chains)?”
The clue is in her upcoming film, ‘Barbie.’
We have been screaming for years for the likes of Margot, Kristen Stewart and Penelope Cruz to pull from the archives.
Hopefully the brand, stylists and actresses are taking note of the positive reception these looks are getting and will consider doing this more often.
I for one would be happy, and I’m sure many of you would too.
Margot looks absolutely breath-taking here. I never thought I could get this excited about Margot in Chanel.
