Jodie Comer Wore Thom Browne To The 2023 Tony Awards

Jodie Comer took home the award for Best performance by an actress in a leading role in a play for ‘Prima Facie’ at the 2023 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 11) in New York City.

While the win, and the fact that she would opt for black were expected, what I didn’t expect was to be blown away by the design, and the designer.

Thom Browne is known for creating dramatic, avant-garde silhouettes, and pieces that feel inspired by school uniforms which attract the likes of Janelle Monae and Gwendoline Christie, but on this occasion, he gave us pure elegance.

The strapless silhouette, which is imagined in a structured fabric to effortlessly shape her figure, is breath-taking in its simplicity.

Had I not known, I would’ve assumed this was Armani Privé, such is the level of impeccable detail that has gone into such a minimalist design.

This was a gown worthy of a winner.

Ana Khouri jewels and Jimmy Choo shoes completed her look.
