Maude Apatow posted a sweet tribute to her Euphoria co-star and on-screen love interest Angus Cloud on Wednesday, August 2, two days after the 25-year-old passed away unexpectedly.
“Angus was the funniest person ever,” she wrote alongside a carousel of photos of the Oakland-born actor. “I would get so excited to see on the schedule that we would be working together because I knew we’d have the best day, laughing so hard. He was the sweetest and made everyone around him so happy. He was just the best. Words can’t really capture how magical of a person he was. My heart is broken.”

On Euphoria, Cloud starred as Fezco, Rue’s softie of a drug dealer who (mostly) had her best interest at heart, while Apatow played the buttoned-up burgeoning playwright Lexi. Their unlikely love story was a fan-favorite storyline. Season two of HBO’s hit series ends with Lexi wondering why Fezco never showed up her to play, a cliffhanger that will haunt fans in the wake of Cloud’s passing.
“Angus, getting to know and work with you was one of the greatest joys and blessings of my life,” Apatow concluded her caption. “I will love you forever. ❤️”
In addition to Maude Apatow, several of Cloud’s Euphoria co-stars shared moving tributes to the late actor, including Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney.
