Hatmaker Nick Fouquet joined God’s True Cashmere cofounder Sat Hari Khalsa and a host of friends and fans of the two designed-in-California brands to toast a new collaborative capsule of shirts and accessories launching at Paola Russo’s Los Angeles boutique, Just One Eye, on Wednesday, October 25. The one-off button-down shirts, bucket hats, and fedoras, plus a blanket and talismanic necklace, are all slightly different, reflective of both lines’ bohemian bent, and centered around a beige woven tartan patchwork pattern — a concept God’s True Cashmere cofounder Brad Pitt helped shape. Fouquet and Khalsa, sans Pitt, welcomed friends including Olivia Wilde and Michelle Monaghan to the party, along with Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis and drummer Chad Smith plus Amber Valletta, Malin Akerman, Jeanne Yang, Rumer Willis and Derek Richard Thomas, Langley Fox Hemingway, Colton Underwood, Jordan Brown, Tasya Van Ree, Derek Luh, Tracy Anderson, Monet Mazur, Louise Hazel Oly, and Glen Dandridge Jr.

God’s True Cashmere began with Khalsa’s quest for the perfect shirt to bring more softness to actor and entrepreneur Pitt’s life. A holistic healer Khalsa strives to create intentional clothes, meant to last for years, with Italian material. Fouquet, who crafts toppers by hand with signature matchsticks embedded in each brim at his Venice workshop, shares a similar mentality. Together the creatives fused their ideas to develop the cashmere hats with crystals and shirts with a custom-designed pattern that close with tiger’s eye snap buttons. While glasses of sparkling Miraval wines made the rounds from Pitt’s Provence winery, two collection-clad dancers from LA Dance Project surprised guests with a performance ahead of the company’s November gala.
