While 2023 started off somewhat tumultuously with all that Browgate drama, it was also the year Gomez reconciled with longtime friend and kidney donor Francia Raísa. Only Murders in the Building season three hit Hulu amid the Hollywood strikes. Gomez quit TikTok. She returned to TikTok. She left Instagram. She hit the town with Taylor Swift and returned to Instagram again.
Oh, and she hard-launched her relationship with boyfriend Benny Blanco. With one month left to go in the year, Gomez confirmed the relationship in early December, revealing she had already been with the 35-year-old music producer and foodie for six months. While interacting with fans, Gomez referred to Blanco as “the best thing that’s ever happened to me” and “better than anyone I’ve been with.”
Gomez has since shared multiple photos with Blanco on Instagram, posting a particularly cozy moment on December 30. In the snap, she smiles at the camera as a very comfy-looking Blanco wraps her up in a warm embrace. The producer wore a fleece floral hoodie while Gomez stayed fought the cold in a cream sweater, wool coat, and, of course, her boyfriend’s arms.
