‘Maestro’ star Carey Mulligan received the International Star Award during the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards which was held in California last night.
It seems like there was a two-for-one-event special as celebrity stylist Andrew Mukamal dressed his clients in looks from the Balmain Spring 2024 collection for this event.
Margot Robbie’s look was a straight off the runway look, while Carey’s was custom made.
Well, the bottom-half was, which should come as no surprise, as I can’t imagine Carey walking the red carpet wearing the runway biker shorts.
You will either love how the skirt imbued a high level of sophistication and injection of elegance into this look, which was amped with a string of pearls to amplify the Old Hollywood glamour feel.
Or you will believe that the length of the skirt aged the look.
I think this look has a bit of everything; especially a touch of English charm, and retro glamour which is in perfect keeping with the theme of her film.
I wouldn’t change a thing.
