‘This Is Me…Now: A Love Story’ is a documentary film heavily inspired by Jennifer Lopez’s rekindled romance and marriage to Ben Affleck, with themes of love and self-healing throughout.
With all that in mind, if you are anything like me you had an exact vision in your mind for what Jennifer would be wearing for the premiere, right?
A tulle accented Giambattista Valli or Valentino gown in shades of blush and bashful, or a red gown considering the LA premiere took place the day before Valentine’s Day and this is a film all about love, right?
All very cheesy, and themey, but not beyond the realms of possibility regarding JLo.
So perhaps to keep us on our toes, that is not the direction that Jennifer went towards.
Quite the opposite in fact as Jennifer stepped onto the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood wearing a Zuhair Murad Fall 2022 Couture gown.
Even though I am slightly confused by the unpredictability of it all, for me, Jennifer looks beautiful in this black velvet gown featuring a sheer skirt with zodiac embroidery.
I love that she kept the sleeves as it heightens the glamour, unlike the last time she wore leather gloves.
I guess this is a lesson in not pigeonholing JLo, or maybe documentary Jen is not the same as Rom-Com Jen.
