All about Tyler, The Creator x Louis Vuitton capsule collection

American rapper and record producer Tyler, the Creator unveiled a new Louis Vuitton capsule collection he designed with the brand’s menswear creative director Pharrell Williams.

Tyler, whose real name is Tyler Okonma, has two fashion brands — Golf Wang and Le Fleur. The former is known for its baseball caps and tees while the latter offers graphic knits and other colourful prints.

More about the Louis Vuitton collection by Tyler, the Creator

The men’s spring 2024 collection was revealed by Tyler on 21 February on his official Instagram account.

“I wanted to mix my style and Louis Vuitton’s codes together in a way that felt slightly whimsical but could still be worn to the gas station on a Tuesday,” wrote Tyler on Instagram.

“What an experience being in that office, imagination running wild,” he added.

What to expect from the Louis Vuitton capsule collection

According to Tyler, the Creator, the collection features “hand drawn monograms, wavy soles, waffle and butter sandles, dogs, pastel colors all that.”

Pictures shared by the artist reveal trendy fashion and lifestyle items such as pastel jackets, sweaters, golf bags and even a chessboard with wavy pieces.

Tyler wrote that the “chess board is my favorite thing ive made.”

The hand-drawn monogram he referred to is a tweaked version of Louis Vuitton’s iconic symbol, which is also seen on a luggage bag and a trunk prominently shown in the pictures.

When is the collection dropping?

The capsule collection by Tyler, the Creator will be launched by Louis Vuitton on 21 March.

It is certainly one of the most anticipated collections, not only due to it being a special Louis Vuitton offering but also because it is the first time that Tyler and Pharrell have worked together on designing clothes.

On Instagram, Tyler thanked Pharrell saying, “i love you, you keep throwing me the keys.”

Tyler and Pharrell have previously collaborated in music. Pharrell joined Tyler on the latter’s song “IFHY” in 2013 and Tyler appeared in Pharrell’s “Cash in Cash Out” in 2022 alongside British-American rapper 21 Savage.
